Source Detection Threshold in Odor Perception

Odor perception in humans is heavily biased towards detecting the dominant odorant. Our ability to discriminate between different odors at a given instance is very limited and the mechanisms are poorly understood. In a series of behavioral and neuroimaging experiments, we explore the tie between chemical components and perceptual acuity to understand the odor discrimination process.
